Love this post Chewie/Becca. Your voice and sincerity shine through, and it feels like we're having a discussion (over papers we're supposed to be grading! ;) ) and I love the flow of your writing. THANK YOU too for always bringing up specific examples of what NBL really is. I think that's some of the strongest ways to send your message into the world. (Hi Erin F - I happily enjoy tea from one of your mugs, that Becca sent me years ago, every evening! - those mugs are magical for brining good things to bear!)
Thanks Audrey! Totally want it to have the conversational feel -- especially over papers we are supposed to be grading. 😂 I appreciate you and your support and ♥️ throughout.
And so glad you use the Erin Farrow - Mary Oliver ☕️ mug every night.
Thanks Kim! I appreciate you participating with me here and encouraging me to give this a try. Nature-based learning is incredibly simple -- and profound all at once. More unpacking of that in future posts.
I also feel compelled to say that the Zen mug OBVIOUSLY is meant to live with you to remind you of, cough, *something*. I wish you beauty in your journey of zen/writing/spreading of nature based learning!
Definitely. I actually never used it in Leadville as it was in the "errands to run" category (mess) in our entryway for years. Literally. When it came time to move, I held it and felt grateful that I never managed to exchange it. And it's a nice complement to my other regular mug, which just says "PEDAL." I love biking, and I think ZEN might be a better energy for starting my day.
Great read, Becca. What stood out to me the most was the simplicity of implementation that can yield success just about anywhere on earth. Love what you and Erin are doing and excited to support however I can.
Yes! Thanks Justin. SooOOOoo simple to implement. And, yes, anywhere on Earth! Teachers leave our workshops and put some nature-based learning approaches into practice the NEXT day. Literally. And, as I mentioned to Kim above, I'll be sure to talk about how nature-based learning is profound too - even as it's simple. Thank you for your support and enthusiasm and commitment to students and educators.

I love the examples using the senses- so helpful and specific. Thanks for writing, Becca!
